Ruby Hansen Murray is a columnist for the Osage News. She’s winner of the Montana Nonfiction Prize awarded fellowships at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Ragdale, Hedgebrook, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Storyknife, and Fishtrap. Her work has been nominated for Push Cart prizes and Best of the Net. See her work in River Mouth Review, Under the Sun, the Massachusetts Review, Pleiades, Midwest Review, Colorlines, High Desert Journal, Moss, The Rumpus, and Shapes of Native Nonfiction, and Native Voices: Indigenous American Poetry. A graduate of the Institute of American Indian Arts’ MFA program, she’s a citizen of the Osage Nation with West Indian roots, living in the lower Columbia River estuary.
